Potting Mix Media

This can be bark fines or hardwood sawdust which has been composted by Bark & Compost or the processed material that can be composted by the purchaser. Bark & Compost composts all its products on concreted surfaces to eliminate contamination. A mix of nitrogen, lime, dolomite and iron is mixed with the bark or sawdust and moisture is added. This is windrowed for no less than 12 weeks and the material is rotated every few days to regulate heat build up. Temperature and pH of the mix is monitored during this period. Bark & Compost utilises its own water supply so no town reticulated water is used in this processing. Bark & Compost will work with our customers to compost a desired product to meet their specific requirements.
